The Power Probe 3 or PP3 is an incredibly versatile piece of test equipment to suit a huge range of vehicles from motor bikes to articulated lorries, fork lift trucks to narrow boats. It's no wonder leading tool companies such as Mac & Snap On sell this product on their vans.
The unit is powered via crocodile clips straight onto the vehicle battery or via a cigar lighter plug – these connections can be changed using the supplied quick release connectors. The standard power lead will reach over 6m (20 feet) and if you need more there is a 6m extension lead supplied as part of the kit.
The PP3 can be used to test components and relays, identify positive, negative and open circuits, check for continuity and much more. With a press of a switch the tip can be changed from positive to negative to aid fault finding along with a built in LCD volt meter.
On board re settable circuit breaker saves that big boxes of fuses when trying to find a short circuit.
Visual and Audible indicators are built into the ergonomically designed handle and the working area is illuminated by two bright white LEDs.
