70mm diameter complete LED lamp assembly to replace incandescent
units supplied by L E Perie, Lucas & Wipac used extensively on Land Rover
Series Defender and Puma models and found various other applications such as
Ariel Atom, Caterham, Westfield etc. The fixings locations are identical making
them a direct replacement without the need for cutting drilling or the use of
plinths, the fixings are made from the rear rather than through the lamp greatly
enhancing the strength of the lens and making them extremely theft
resistant.
Designed & Manufactured for Mobile Centre is the
US ensures a high level of
quality and durability for the product, the “black” base is actually die cast
aluminium and the latest surface mount LED technology has been employed in the
construction of the product enabling us to offer a four year warranty on the
product.

The entry level vehicle set contains the following:

feature (Daytime Running Lights)

Note -
The lamps are supplied with approx 600mm of colour coded cable with
bare ends, if you want the Land Rover style connectors to plug them straight in
please select that option above in the "wiring harness" box. The front position
light will plug straight in but because of the DRL option you will have a spare
wire for this function which will need a 12 volt supply to work - please contact
us for further information on this and how to connect it.
DRL / Daytime Running Lights - from 2011 it is law for currently 12 European countries to fit all
NEW vehicles with this feature, many will have noticed a number of German
manufacturers such as Audi with their distinctive strip of LEDs around the
headlight already fitting this feature to their cars. The purpose is to make
your vehicle much more visible in the day, some would say use dip beam
headlights but they are designed to illuminate the road surface at night so you
can see where you are going and not effective during the day. The DRL is much
brighter than a standard side light and when fitted is shining directly at
oncoming vehicles however it is intensity is low enough not to dazzle oncoming
traffic.
