Carling Contura II switch base UK spec, Carling Technologies is a well know US manufacturer of switches established around 100 years ago HOWEVER in the USA they flip a switch up to turn it on where as we would flip it down to turn it on.
What that means is the Carling switches you buy in the UK are up side down!
You have to push the top of the switch to turn it on and the bottom to turn it off which is the opposite of what we would normally do. Mobile Centre has had a range of switches manufactured by Carling Technologies in the UK style of operation.
Here we have a rear wash wipe switch base complete with rocker marked with symbol. This is a three position switch OFF - ON - (ON).
