The history of J W Speaker headlamp evolution.

• 2009 – Mobile Centre introduced the world’s first LED aftermarket 7" headlamp approved for road use in Europe for Defender.
• 2012 - Evolution series expanded the variants by the introduction of an internal position light option in chrome or black bezel.
• 2014 - J W Speaker move the benchmark for LED Headlamps yet again with the introduction of the Evolution 2
• 2018 - Mobile Centre work with J W Speaker to incorporate DUAL BURN technology within the lamp to create the Evolution 2 Dual Burn exclusive to Mobile Centre and the addituion of a DRL function.
• 2020 - Evo 2 Dual Burn becomes PRO with yet another boost in output and greater resilience in higher temperature environments
• 2026 - Evo X a complete redesign from the ground up allowing integration of extra functions and increased efficiency giving an INCREASE in effective lumens getting more light on the road along with dual burn functionality allowing part of low beam to remain on when switching to high beam. Optional integral DRL, position light and indicator.

Mobile Centre once again takes the Evo X and creates a plug and play high performance direct swap LED headlight upgrade specifically for all models of Land Rover Defender.

Fully road legal (tested by the VCA in Bristol, England) and E marked allowing your vehicle to pass any inspection / MOT test with ease.

Using the J W Speaker Evolution X headlight, Mobile Centre have created a Land Rover Defender specific kit that is plug and play for vehicles made during or after 1994 (Starting with 300tdi). For vehicles made before 1994 some cutting and splicing will be required for the signal light functions.

The kit enables the headlights, front position (side light) and indicator (turn signal) to be upgraded to high performance LED along with adding the functionality of DRL (Daytime Running Lights)

No cutting or splicing of existing wiring or harnesses is required, the headlight connects via the standard H4 connector with the rest of the functions plug and play using OEM Land Rover connectors.

The install is finished off with our unique powder coated black stainless steel bezels, and replacement screws and fixing clips supplied within the kit.
